Please join us for the in-person kick-off party for the 2025 Orange County Peer Group Cohort.
The Mentorship, Advisors, Peers, and Sponsorship (MAPS) Peer Group Program provides mentorship for Women In Bio members in informal small-group settings. Peer Groups gather women from diverse seniority levels (students through VP) and industries, including pharma, diagnostic, and biotech companies, as well as institutions and academia. The program brings together people of different career stages, paths, and backgrounds in a professional yet social atmosphere. Members can look forward to a program with a diversity of viewpoints and experiences and the opportunity to get feedback on their own personal challenges every month.

Many of our members are entrepreneurs, and a focus on entrepreneurship has remained core to WIB's mission.

About SoCal chapter: The Southern California life sciences community is a hotbed of innovation and scientific expertise. Entrepreneurs can be found throughout, and venture capitalists are investing heavily in the region. Recent reports state Southern California has the 5th (San Diego) and 8th (Los Angeles/Orange County) largest biotech hubs of the Top 10 hubs in the country.
SoCal chapter services these hubs by offering networking and mentoring programs in San Diego, Irvine, and Los Angeles. We also provide virtual support for women living and working nearby. We support women at all stages of their careers, and we welcome support and participation from men and women alike. Our programs provide great leadership opportunities, engage our most successful and influential industry leaders, academia, and Institutes, and fuel the region's human capital supporting more women as they join leadership teams and Boards.
