Hone your life science research knowledge with ULP’s experiential laboratory courses designed to help recent graduates and STEM professionals refine their research and laboratory skills.
This hybrid course provides hands-on training industry-standard knowledge and skills in bacterial cloning, genomic and plasmid DNA isolation, PCR, restriction digest, and gel electrophoresis as well as experimental design and execution. Participants will learn classic techniques as well as cutting-edge technologies to edit cellular genomes.
Prerequisite Molecular Biology 1
This hybrid course consists of a weekly asynchronous module that prepares participants for the in-person laboratory activities. Students will acquire and demonstrate knowledge and skills in PCR, gel electrophoresis, protein purification, quantification, experimental design, and execution.

ULP’s life science scholarships allow professionals to continue their STEM education and further push the boundaries of new discoveries, fostering a continued hands-on experience in life science research.
All students are considered for need-based scholarships at the time of application.
