Review what federal agencies are imagining and funding to prevent and better manage the next infectious disease pandemic.
R&D to create new diagnostics, therapeutics, and vaccines takes time, yet as we’ve seen, there is no time to spare when a pandemic hits. This presentation will review what federal agencies are imagining and funding to prevent and better manage the next infectious disease pandemic. We’ll look at new solicitations from NIH, NSF and BARDA as well as studies from public health officials and scientists on what happened with COVID-19, and how we might better face the challenges next time.
