Breaking Through Biocontamination: April 2021 Session

A hands-on introductory class on experimental design and analysis.

Students will apply the principles of experimental design to solve the real world challenge of biocontamination. Using experimental methods in cell organelle extraction, spectrophotometry and biostatistics, students will perform, evaluate, and present their innovative strategies and solutions. High school and college students with a deep interest in pursuing academic research opportunities and/or careers in biotechnology are encouraged to sign up.

Class size is limited to 12 students to ensure low student-instructor ratios, social distancing, and a rich educational experience. This is an in-person course.

Prerequisites:

High school and college student

Deep interest in pursuing academic research opportunities and/or career in biotechnology and life sciences.
