Life Science Career Exploration

For High School, Undergraduate, & Graduate Students

This summer internship equips students with vital workplace skills such as communication, organization, problem-solving, interpersonal, and self-motivation in a biotech setting. Students will learn how to maintain a working wet laboratory and how to communicate with their peers, multidisciplinary scientists, and industry professionals.

Prerequisites: Students must have completed Molecular Biology 1 & 2 to be eligible for ULP's Summer Internship.

Students will be able to earn a UCI digital credential badge in Fundamentals of Cell Culture and a $500 stipend after completion of the internship.

Internship Schedule

Mondays - Thursdays: June 8, 2026 - August 13, 2026 | 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Rock the Science Showcase: August 12, 2026 | 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Applications close on May 25, 2026. Interviews will take place the last week of May and the first week of June.
