RetinaTek, Inc. is a seed-stage San Diego company commercializing RETINA, a patented neurocognitive measurement platform that turns brain performance into an objective, repeatable metric. Cognitive function today is assessed mostly through subjective interviews and brief screeners; RETINA instead administers structured tasks that load attention, working memory, and response control while capturing eye movements, pupil dynamics, manual responses, and stimulus timing, converting those signals into measures such as Speed, Cognitive Control, and Cognitive Readiness. The technology originated in federally funded military and clinical research on mild traumatic brain injury — its lineage includes the Bethesda Eye & Attention Measure — and the company cites 9+ peer-reviewed studies, over a decade of validation, and $6M+ in federally supported research.
