Oculux

Oculux is an early-stage medtech company in San Clemente, California, developing a non-invasive scanner that measures intraocular pressure (IOP) without contacting the eye. Elevated IOP is the principal modifiable risk factor in glaucoma, a leading cause of irreversible blindness, yet it is still assessed with contact tonometry that typically requires anesthetic drops, a trained operator, and an in-clinic visit — meaning pressure gets sampled a few times a year even though it fluctuates daily. Oculux aims to give eye-care providers a fast, drop-free reading that can be taken often enough to catch the pressure peaks conventional testing misses, turning IOP from an occasional data point into actionable glaucoma intelligence. Intended users are ophthalmologists, optometrists, and glaucoma clinics. The company is pre-commercial and newly formed, registering as Oculux Diagnostics LLC in August 2026 with no publicly announced funding.
