Pitch. Launch. Grow. is OC's annual pitch competition for technology and life science startups. Companies have the chance to win either a cash prize of $20,000, or 1-year free ULP lab bench space to launch their startup.
These were some of the most impressive companies to date, with over 70 applications in three categories: technology, life science, and specialty diagnostics (AST). The PLG Selection Committee was tasked with choosing the top companies in each category through a rigorous judging process, resulting in the finalists chosen.

Includes software or hardware in the Communications, Wireless, Cybersecurity, EdTech, Environmental Technologies (e.g. AgTech, CleanTech, BlueTech, EnergyTech), Information Technologies (e.g. SaaS platforms), Internet of Things (IoT), Media, and AdTech.
Include companies operating in the fields of drug discovery, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and therapeutics offering innovative products and services.
The AST technology should allow for rapid analysis, work in real patient matrices, and be simple enough that the final product can be used by non-trained medical personnel in a physician office environment (CLIA waivable). The technology should enable an embodiment in which sample preparation is automated and incorporated into the test device.
