OC LIFe aims to connect industry with entrepreneurs and strengthen the life sciences and medical technology communities.
Create connections that could last a lifetime.
The OC LIFe (Life Science Innovators Forum) is a monthly free event series focused on creating a collaborative environment that fosters connections between innovators in the life sciences industry.
To keep everyone safe and healthy, we are going virtual.
3:00 PM – Program begins
The Future of Life Science Innovation: Healthcare Systems, Life Science Companies and Medical Devices.
The life science and medical device domains will have to adopt a number of transformative technologies or be displaced through a rising tide of direct-to-consumer products. The health sector can only keep up through creative partnerships, which are fostered by open and transparent relationships between different health sector stakeholders including regulators, patients, hospitals, and advocacy groups.
Innovators will also need to be creative in developing new revenue models in a context where reimbursement policies are driven more by outcomes, cost-effectiveness, and patient satisfaction. Personalized medicine will empower patients and their advocates to have more input to tailor drug access, to access gene and cell therapies as well as to have a wider range of medical devices options. Life science companies and healthcare systems will necessarily partner with more innovators in new ways to allow for the needs-focused research and development to deliver on these expectations.
